We are a family owned and managed business, based in Catchgate, Durham and operating throughout County Durham and the north-east.

The majority of our fireplaces are completed in only 2 days!
what do we do?
We are specialisists in the supply and fitting of multi-fuel stoves and log-burners operating from our shop in Catchgate.
what we will not do!
We will not start a job, disappear and re-appear days later.
We will not work on multiple jobs at the same time. When we are working on your installation we complete the work prior to starting the next job.

You will deal with Gavin throughout the process; from the initial site survey, running through all the different options and possibilities for your stove or fireplace installation to completion.
Our Story
We are Gavin and Marie Mallaby and are the owners and managers of Hearth & Soul Ltd.
Gavin has over 20 years of experience in the industry and is a qualified and registered HETAS engineer.
Marie runs the shop in Catchgate, Durham and can guide you with your choice of multi-fuel stove, log-burner and fireplace.
We are a specialists in the field being suppliers and recommended installers for all of the major UK and international manufacturers of stoves and log-burners.
Our shop has over 20 display stoves. We also stock a range of stunning accessories… beautiful log baskets, fireside companion sets and those all important fire lighters!
Our shop opened in 2019 and we would love to welcome you. We pride ourselves on old-fashioned good service.
